Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

This week at Hertford Museum we said farewell to our old external toilet block which was demolished by Bakers of Danbury.

Archaeologists Heritage Network will now be brought in to do an investigation of the ground before the builders start on the new Learning Space.

Our beautiful Jacobean style knot garden has been protected as has the fig tree. We have had to say goodbye to our lovely arbour as this area will now be taken up by the new Learning Space.  We are looking forward to using our garden next year for cream teas and other events.  Watch this space!

Welcome to Hertford Museum’s Blog!

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

We have set this blog up so that we can keep you up to date with everything that’s happening at Hertford Museum during the development project and beyond!   This includes our outreach events that are taking place around town, as well as a sneaky preview of what will be going on display when the museum re-opens in early 2010.

Please do check back regularly to look at posts by myself as well as my colleagues Ruth Stratton, Eleanor Payne, Holly Rapley and Connie Taylor.
